  • Abstract
In this paper, an asymmetric planar dipole antenna was proposed for RFID tag. It was mountable on the conducting plane and can accommodate the Korea UHF RFID band (center frequency: 911.25 MHz, bandwidth: 5.5 MHz). The proposed antenna was designed to be changed with the dipole structures which maintains characteristics of the general Microstrip Line Monopole Antenna (MLMA). Input impedance matching of the antenna is easily possible for matching through adjusted the length of the microstrip feeding line and the parasitic ground lines. The asymmetric planar dipole antenna is simply produced and attached on metallic surface. Also, the manufactured antenna needs no label part as ground, which cuts down cost. To suit standard size of tag antenna ( 94 mm (Length) × 24 mm (Width) × 3 mm (Height) ), it is miniaturized by folded structure with bending both edges of antenna .
