Abstract :
This work suggests for the first time the use of active harmonic mode locking in a double clad fiber laser to produce moderate-energy short pulses at high repetition rates. Such pulses are beneficial in many applications. They are especially important for laser ablation processes, which play today a major role in laser structuring and processing of materials.
