Abstract :
One of the complications in the treatment of anthracyclines is their cardiotoxicity. Factors influencing the cardiotoxicity are generally known but their significance is differently estimated by various authors. It is rarely considered however that the differences might be caused by distinct prophylactic routines in the center where the investigations are conducted. Thus it seems reasonable to examine the problem of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity with reference to a particular hospital (Hospital Central de Asturias, Oviedo-SPAIN). So far, although statistical methods are the most commonly applied methods for indicating connections between various factors of cardiac function from patients treated with anthracyclines, we propose to use rough sets techniques to extract the most significant factors
