Abstract :
This paper focuses on conceptual design automation of energy transforming systems. A Computer Aided Conceptual Design Expert System for Energy transformation (CACDESE) is introduced based on the product gene theory. The conceptual design of a solar engine system demonstrates that the proposed expert system can rapidly find the appropriate combinational principle solution from the knowledge base and enhance the creativity of the solution during the conceptual design of complicated energy transforming system.
