Abstract :
Presented is a novel and effective design of a batteryless, self-powered RFID transponder. It is compatible with the TIRIS, the popular RFID system by the Texas Instruments. Data transmission uses FSK modulation and the circuit is designed such that the output frequencies are implicitly determined, independent of the load of the antenna. The major part of the design uses digital CMOS circuit, thus simple and easy to implement. The chip layout is designed and fabricated in a 0.8 um CMOS SPDM n-well process. It occupies about 0.8 mm×0.8 mm die size
