Abstract
Traffic control for ATM switching system is an extremely important and challenging problem. Priority control is one possible solution for realizing the traffic control. In this paper, we proposed a new priority control method in VP-based ATM networks to manage both system and network resource efficiently. We show performance results in terms of the cell delay and cell loss probability in our method through simulation
