Abstract :
A novel wavelength selective channel add/drop filter: the grating-assisted fused fibre filter (GAFFF) has been evaluated numerically for use in WDM optical fibre networks. A long period grating photowritten in the waist of the coupler creates spectrally selective coupling by compensating for the dispersion between the fused fibres
