Abstract :
In this paper the design of sub-mm wave imaging systems using metamaterial technology is presented. A dipole antenna placed on top of a woodpile structure is used as radiating element and a Schottky diode is used as the detecting element. Measurements of the EBG structure and of the combination of radiation element and EBG structure are presented which confirm the simulation results
