Abstract :
Implementation of a wideband RF receiver for the 6×6 MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) TDD (Time Division Duplex) wireless communication system is reported in this paper. In order to achieve the best performance, a superheterodyne architecture with RF of 3.45GHz and IF of 1.15GHz is employed, and the signal bandwidth is 100MHz. System simulation results and design considerations are included in this paper. Finally, measurement results of the receiver are provided and the overall system performance indicated by EVM (Error Vector Magnitude) with 80MHz signal bandwidth (maximum digital modulation bandwidth available from Agilent with up to date measurement method) is reported.
