Abstract :
In finite-time control, the settling time until the state reaches at the origin is one of important control performances. However, the settling time design problem has not been sufficiently discussed. In this paper, we consider the settling time design problem of nonlinear continuous-time finite-time control systems and propose two settling time design methods for feedback linearizable systems. Our proposed methods are valid for a class of discontinuous finite-time controllers including higher-order sliding mode controllers. We confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulation.
