Abstract :
The pulse laser rangefinder is widely used, in which to improve the accuracy in wide dynamic range is one of the core technology. The use of automatic gain control technology can extend the dynamic range with high accuracy of measurement. In this paper, the principle of the automatic gain control is discussed, with the analysis of the influence of the pulse laser rangefinder accuracy of error. The design puts forward an automatic gain control circuit including a peak-and-hold circuit. The experimental results show that an automatic gain control circuit can adapt to the changes in the value of input signal and extend the dynamic range distance with the accuracy ensured.
