Abstract :
Three-dimensional model of patient´s thorax with pectus excavatum have been reconstructed and numerical results have been obtained by nonlinear finite element method. Firstly, using the three-dimensional modeling function of both software Geomagic Studio and Mimics, three-dimensional model of patient´s thorax with pectus excavatum was established, including collection of thorax data, generating point cloud data and establishment of three-dimensional thorax model; Then establishing the finite element model with 198964 elements and 332216 nodes, the Nuss procedure have been simulated by nonlinear finite element method with ANSYS. The methods both of to establish the three-dimensional model of patient´s thorax with pectus excavatum and simulation of the Nuss procedure by nonlinear finite element method can help doctors to do better in Nuss procedure and numerical results can be use as a guide for Nuss procedure.
