Resident satisfaction is an important approach to evaluate policy performance, and also a key reference for the government to improve their works. The thesis based on the sociological approaches analyzes the resident satisfaction with the ecological compensation policy in the water source area and its influencing factors by 1045 samples taken from Shiyan in Hubei province, Ankang in Shaan´xi province, and Nanyang in Henan province. The result shows that the resident satisfaction with ecological compensation policy not only differs with regions to regions, but also varies distinctly for individual age, education level and profession. These findings offer references for the improvement of ecological compensation policy in our country.
