Abstract :
The same natural laws control the operation of current transformers that govern any other type of transformer. Because it is current-driven, however, the design parameters which have the most significant effect on performance are different from those for a voltage-driven device. This requires almost a totally different approach in design. This paper examines the factors affecting the performance of current transformers with both rectified and unrectified loads
