Abstract :
A new control method of the Class DE inverter named the Class DE thinning-out inverter is proposed. The method can easily regulate the output voltage by thinning out the gate-drive signals at a fixed operating frequency. By carrying out exact analysis and circuit experiments, it is indicated that the experimental results agree with the theoretical predictions qualitatively. Measured efficiency is over 97% with 790 kHz, 2.0 W output
