Abstract :
The selection of magnet processing equipment should be made with a firm understanding of the application at hand. This includes the performance aspects of the end product being produced. To produce a product, many unique manufacturing techniques may be required. The process of magnetization is one of these. Here, the author describes methods employed in the selection of magnetizing and conditioning equipment for a wide range of permanent magnet materials. A logical, analytical approach is provided to form a basic guide applicable to any magnet processing situation
