  • Abstract
A novel BOG recovery process using nitrogen as refrigerant is proposed. The dependence on foreign BOG compressor can be avoided. The process includes two functional units. One is the electric compression refrigeration system of nitrogen, which provides low-temperature cold source for the entire process. The other is BOG recovery process. The low-temperature nitrogen offers cold energy to BOG and makes it liquefied. When the BOG recovery process goes well and stably, the first unit can be stop using to save energy. The process simulation was carried out by Aspen Plus software. The different scales of BOG recovery process and the status of energy utilization are analyzed. The results show that recovery 1 kg GOB needs about 15 kg nitrogen and consumes power 1 kWh.
