  • Abstract
A base-station bandpass filter using different kinds of resonators is presented. A novel hybrid coupling between TE-mode dielectric and air-cavity combline resonators is introduced. The combline resonators are coupled with an aperture at the bottom wall to achieve a compact layout of the filter. The bandpass filter consists of 7 resonators, has a center-frequency of 2.0175 GHz, a bandwidth of 15 MHz and cross-coupling by a cascaded quadruplet for improved blocking performance. Different temperature compensation techniques need to be applied for both types of resonators to guarantee stable performance in the temperature range from -40degC to 75degC. The layout is discussed. Furthermore, measurement results are shown
