Abstract :
Two different adhesives, polyvinyl acetate and polyvinyl alcohol, were adopted by Chinese power transformer manufacturers due to different interpretations of the acronym PVA. This paper introduces the background information of the above development. The performance and characteristics presented by the two alternatives considered here, showed that there was a small difference between them and that it would be economic considerations which would influence the final choice
