Abstract :
This paper analyses how much the capacity layer of HetNets are utilized as the function of momentary traffic demand and user distribution. It is shown that the capacity layer is inevitably underutilized and it is worth to apply power saving techniques to reduce the energy used by the capacity layer of the HetNet.
