Abstract :
NRZ transmission at 10 Gbit/s over 146 km of standard dispersive fibre has been achieved with an external phase modulator. Using the large number of degrees of freedom, we have experimentally shown the physical concepts involved in the phase-shaped binary transmissions (PSBT)
