Abstract :
Because of the special engineering nature of loess, for example: water sensitivity, large holes, structural, etc., resulting in a variety of engineering disease appeared in the building in loess area. These diseases cause great losses to life and property. In the long term of engineering practice in the loess area, many scholars and engineers who have accumulated rich engineering experience, in buildings, roads, bridges, railways, tunnels and other projects. However, the mechanism of disease for some projects and treatment measures remain unclear. In this research, through scientific and systematic study and a large number of tests, to identify the major engineering diseases and the key issues, to find the mechanism of engineering disease and find effective treatment measures.
