Abstract
Systematic investigations of accelerated aging of DBR lasers have been performed at 60°C and 80°C. The wavelength drift measured on all the wavelength channels (19) of the tuning range (12 nm) is lower than 0.009 nm/year at 60°C. Based on a standard operating current degradation failure criterion, the estimated lifetimes are higher than 70000 h and 8500 h respectively at 60°C and 80°C, and are shorter than the ones based on the wavelength drift one
