  • Abstract
    The system provides a technical solution for assessment of environmental parameters needed in underground water management, using advanced technologies that will allow: (1) acquisition of data concerning the underground water, specific environmental parameters, data regarding relative displacement of fitted terrestrial bench-marks; (2) transmission of field data through wireless communication to a management centre; (3) monitorisation of underground water quality (if it is brackish water or drinking water) using GIS technologies and business intelligence; (4) complex analysis of underground water data and weather forecasts, in order to identify the evolution trend (during given time periods), the risk of infestation and also to identify critical areas; (5) automatic reporting about parameters evolution due to increased alarm/ emergency quota; (6) interactive facilities for creating alarming strategies (actions, tasks, priorities) and generating emergency plans; (7) automatic alerting via Internet according to an emergency plan; (8) presentation of information (text, maps) to action group members both on fixed (PC) and mobile devices (PDA, mobile phone).
