Abstract :
Traditional fixed telecommunication equipment which is normally referred to as POTS, require power feeding which is able to provide high degree of availability in any circumstances: that is the load should be fed as long as possible by the power system. However the tremendous development trend of the 1990s in the field of mobile communications has introduced a new way of thinking in respect of system availability: the cell structure, the dimensioning, the flexibility of the mobile network made it possible to think in a different way with regards to low voltage disconnect. This article tries to give a possible answer to the questions arisen around this subject
