Abstract :
In the condition of current power shortage, how to use the renewable energy effectively has become a very important issue for the present. This research aims to discuss the combination of small wind turbines and architectures. Owing to the turbulent flow on the roof wind turbines which need steady flow to run have no real benefit in generating power. Therefore, the research simulates the flow field on the roof with the Fluent 6.3, and analyzes the flow field after the installation of a deflector on the roof. By the deflector stabling the chaotic flow field afterward, small wind turbines with boards in different length are installed on deflectors with different angles, in order to simulate the best benefit of power generation. According to the simulation results of annual power generation, a deflector generates most power in the angle of 10. The results can serve as the material of future wind turbines installation on buildings.
