Abstract :
In this paper, we consider the problem of controlling an electropneumatic clutch actuator for heavy duty trucks, using on/off valves. These valves are considered to be either open or closed. For a 3rd order model of the system, a controller is designed to govern switching between the available inputs. Local exponential stability of this control is shown, and the performance is investigated by simulations.
