Abstract :
To reduce the sizes and losses of distribution, padmount and small power transformers according to the requirement of an overseas utility, the local transformer manufacturers have widely used VORTEX powder coated conductors in winding coils. The conductor, conventionally insulated with a solvent base enamel layer or wrapped with a cellulose base paper, have shortcomings in meeting the requirement. The VORTEX powder coating uses dry powder to yield a conformable epoxy film on the conductor surfaces in a continuous line. The coated epoxy film is thin, strong and tough for conductor winding. It also satisfies environmental regulations
