Abstract :
A performance comparison of blind equalization methods based on second order statistics (SOS) in an operative context of fractional sampled two-ray communication channels is provided. The compared methods are the subspace (SS), cross-relation (CR) and the two-step maximum likelihood (TSML). These three SOS approaches estimate the impulse response of FIR channels driven by unknown input sequences using the time channel diversity, whenever it is available. Application limits as well as the effects of echo delay and roll-off of the shaping filter are discussed
