Abstract
To achieve the protection of ancient buildings, it used the modern surveying technology and advanced equipment including Johanna T-602 total station and PD30 Rangefinder to site survey ancient architecture in Longyou County, Zhejiang Province. It surveyed the ancient architecture undamaged from plane, profile and facade in the unified plane controlling network and vertical control network, then, it analyzed the surveying error. From analyzing the process of surveying ancient architecture, it concluded that mean error may evaluate accuracy class of surveying and achieve the effective protection to the ancient architecture. The methods could provide references for other ancient architecture.
