Abstract :
This paper presents a new design of high aspect ratio silicon lateral comb drive with large displacement and low actuation voltage. By adapting the comb structure of the folded beam spring, reduced spring beam width, and increased folded beam length, an increased displacement of lateral comb drive actuator will consequently be accomplished even with the same actuation voltage as with traditional comb design.
