  • Abstract
In the paper, soil correlation distance is studied from the angle of sample parameter characteristics, then come up with a method to find out outliers of sample data and compensate them. What effect does the number of outlier have on the ρ(τ) ~ τ curve in the calculation with the correlation function method. Because smoothness directly influence choice of the standard correlation function type, the results show that the outlier points have great influence on smoothness of curve, and more points, greater influence. Finally, the choice of the standard type of the correlation function is discussed, the connection of all points constitute the ρ(τ) ~ τ curve, in the curve, it is feasible that all points before the inflection point start fitting curve.
