Abstract :
This paper presents the analysis and design of a zero-current-switched quasi-resonant SEPIC converter used as a power factor pre-regulator (PFP). Its input current is controlled to follow the rectified output voltage waveform to obtain sinusoidal supply current at the AC side of the rectifier. Converter analysis, design considerations for the use of the converter as a PFP, control strategy and simulation results are reported in this paper
