The testing system of the pumps with gear wheels for determining the volumetric efficiency

The paper presents some theoretical aspects referring at the energetic losses and the efficiency of the pumps with gear wheels and, also, the mathematical relation for calculating the volumetric efficiency of the pumps. In the second part is presented the new mechatronic testing system of the pumps with gear wheels for determining the volumetric efficiency and, also, the first experimental results obtained in this way in our country. The research was performed in the Laboratory for testing of lubrication systems from frame of INOE 2000 IHP. The results obtained, presented in tables and graphics, represent an important contribution at the theoretical and experimental research over the pumps with gear wheels, which have practical predictable effects.
