Abstract :
Solid flow measurements using a microwave Doppler radar sensor are described. The microwave Doppler radar sensor circuit was designed to extract useful information from the reflected signal of flowing solids. The amplitude level and the power of the reflected signal are analysed and calculated. The relationship between the reflected power and the total weight of the flowing solids is determined to characterise the flow. The experimental results for different types of solids flowing are presented in this paper
