            Abstract :
In this paper an ultra low power super-regenerative transceiver using 300nm gate length GaAs packaged transistors is described. The transmitter consumes 400muW and transmits a -11dBm OOK signal at 2.48 GHz. The receiver consumes 380muW and produces an a.c. voltage of 1.6mV for a -58 dBm input power at 2.48GHz. An omnidirectional, low cost, low profile, 2.45 GHz microstrip fed ´rectaxial´ antenna having an average gain better than 2.2 dBi, a > 200 MHz bandwidth and a return loss of approximately 20 dB at the centre frequency is also reported
