Abstract :
In this paper, a new fault detection and isolation method is proposed for complex systems. This method is applied to MIMO systems and it is based on the residual generator. The idea is to identify input command and parameter modifications using the output deviation of the real (or designed) plant given to model trajectory. The estimated perturbation is the actuator characteristic. If a fault situation occurs in the system, then a control system reconfiguration, based on the sensitivity matrices, will be used. The proposed method has been applied to a simulated aircraft control system and the simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed fault detection and isolation scheme.
