Abstract :
This paper is motivated by the problem of finding a 3D model of a building based on a video sequence from an air-borne platform. The first step in such a process is usually the detection of corners, which are then tracked throughout the image sequence. This paper describes a measure of performance of corner detectors for this type of problem, and then uses this to evaluate a suite of commonly used algorithms from the literature. Three simple new corner detectors have also been described.
