Abstract :
A Mach-Zehnder wavelength converter module incorporating a polarisation-maintaining fibre on the CW (destination wavelength) input is reported for the first time. Excellent operational characteristics with respect to wavelength tunability, optical loss and signal polarisation independence were obtained
