Abstract :
The voice control of a stereoscopic system for control of a remote vehicle is discussed. Voice control was accomplished by the integration of a Votan voice recognition system into the main stream of the control circuitry. The camera platform, display console, and voice control details are given. The way that commands generated by an operator are sent to the camera platform is described. The primary advantage of this feature was the reduction of the number of personnel required to control the remote vehicle by freeing the hands of at least one operator
