Abstract :
A set of higher-level primitives which can be used to speed up the process of digital circuit model development is defined. The use of these primitives can improve productivity to a large extent. These primitives are built as a macro library into the tool, and the modeler is given the option to define his own primitives and use them. It is shown how a tool called the Modeler´s Assistant, developed by D.G. Burnette (1988), together with the modeling primitives provides a tool that can simplify the process of model development and produce syntactically correct very-high-speed IC hardware description language source code interactively
