Abstract
The authors resolve a radio image reflected off a building, at a resolution of 3.7 m, and identify contributions to the channel impulse response (CIR) with detailed geometrical features of the environment that correspond to individual ray-optical interactions. To further enhance the resolution of the measurements, they use the singular value decomposition-Prony (SVDP) algorithm, and identify and image the individual ray optical contributions to the channel impulse response. Finally, they discuss briefly the validity of the common assumptions made in defining the spatial granularity of the input databases to ray-tracing tools in the light of these results. Recommendations on maintaining prediction accuracy are also made
