  • Abstract
    Communication cable of power system fault location is difficult to determine and the efficiency is lower maintenance and other issues, the paper design a GIS-based fault location algorithm, the fault point can be quickly and accurately positioned. According to the basic working principle of OTDR (Optical time domain reflectometer) and fiber optic communications in the power system to maintain the specific characteristics and requirements, establish a region´s GIS system of fiber optic cable, to achieve cable maintenance of information technology and to improve the power system cable maintenance Work efficiency.
