Abstract :
The deregulation of power industry creates the independent market entities with different objectives, including the self-interested hydropower producers for optimizing their potential payoffs. The traditional time-based mechanism of unit maintenance scheduling (UMS) may provoke more or less than necessary maintenance, which exposes serious risk on the related producers. On the other hand, the condition-based method considers the operation status of generating units, but it is difficult to be applied on the hydraulic power plant units effectively, for its ignoring the system operation. According to these two UMS mode, an optimizing unit maintenance strategy (OUMS) is proposed in this paper, based on the monitoring information, which can guarantee the producers´ benefits and the reliability of generating units.
