Abstract
RSVP (rapid system visualization prototyping) is the art of visualizing (predicting) the response (behavior) of large, complex systems by means of computational tools or computational science. It is the technique of choice for rapid system prototyping (RSP) when it is neither rapid nor convenient to construct a full-scale, functional prototype of the system. RSVP is defined as a process of developing a model (a representation of the `real´ world); manipulating (operating or exercising) the model; producing results which approximate `real´ behavior and which can be validated by comparison with `reality´. The end result of a successful RSVP is a `good´ design
