Currently, urbanization has entered a stage of rapid growth in China, the environmental pollution and ecological destroy of cities are becoming more and more serious day by day. The work field of city planning and design is beginning to expand to undertake a task to improve living and ecological environment due to paying more attention to afforesting and ecological construction. Under the new background and situation of development, the systematic construction of the afforesting and ecology environment of city and countryside becomes one of the development trend of city planning and design. On the basis of summarizing the current situation of research and practice on afforesting and ecological construction of city and countryside, the article studied and introduced the details of the planning about afforesting and ecological construction of city and countryside in Guandu district, Kunming city, in order to explore new thought and contents about harmony between human and natural mountains and rivers, and to hope to find a new way to build the harmony between human and natural mountains and rivers among the afforesting and ecological construction of the unifying of city and countryside.
