Abstract :
With the rapid development of computer technology and communication technology, image compression problem has always been the research.hotspot. In low bit rate, decoded images inevitably appear blocking effect, which seriously affect the visual quality of image and the efficiency of image transmission. Classified image by region according to the different characteristics of wavelet coefficient within the different scope in the wavelet transformation, then make a different treatment for the different region. Finally, the results indicate the method could effectively reduce the effects of diamonds and decodes the visual quality of graphics carries on the simulation experiment through MATLAB.
