Abstract :
We describe theory and practice for two different styles of wafer bulk connections and antenna rules in SOI technology. The two approaches are the ldquofloating-chiprdquo and the ldquolightning rodrdquo scenarios. Apparently conflicting reported results are reconciled in a single conceptual framework. We report new data from both design styles for both transistors and a functional circuit.
