Abstract :
A novel double layer printed microwave antenna array is presented. The proposed antenna consists on a single fed element and four parasitic patches in the lower layer and five parasitic patches in the upper layer. Both the theoretical and experimental results show high performance such as high gain, low side-lobe levels, very good cross-polarization resolution, yet inexpensive and compact size. The proposed antenna exhibits a relatively narrow bandwidth of about 2.5%.
