Abstract
An active pull-down ECL output driver that utilizes negative feedback to dynamically adjust the current in the output stage is introduced. Experimental results, as well as simulations, show a 7/spl times/ improvement in pull-down delay and reduced sensitivity to load capacitance relative to conventional ECL output drivers.
